Jeffery “J.L.” Buck, age 60, of Shell Knob, Missouri, passed away at his home on Monday, December 11, 2017. Mr. Buck, son of Arthur and Marilyn (Metcalf) Buck, was born on May 21, 1957, in Peoria, Illinois. Upon graduating high school he continued his education and received a Master’s Degree in Forestry. Mr. Buck worked for the Missouri Department of Conservation serving the Southwest Missouri region and retired in 2011 after twenty-six years of service.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and cooking. Mr. Buck was a man of knowledge and wisdom who enjoyed reading and learning new things. He was a friend to many and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his son, Caleb Buck and his wife Kori, of Neosho; his daughter, Rachael Hartzell and her husband Tyler, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; the mother of his children, Louise “Skip” Easter, of Cassville; three grandchildren, River Buck, Kason Buck, and Eleanora Hartzell; his significant other, Susan Adams, of Shell Knob, and her children and grandchildren who all loved him dearly; and a host of extended family members.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family and entrusted to the White Funeral Home and Crematory, P.O. Box 890, Cassville, MO 65625.
Memorial services were held Saturday, December 16, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Shell Knob, with Pastor Chris Deitsch officiating.
Service arrangements and cremation are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
