Venar Ramsey Hart of Commerce, OK passed from this life on Monday, December 25, 2017 at his home. He was 63.

Ramsey was born October 28, 1954 in Claremore, OK to Henry and Nema (Gourd) Hart. He was a lifetime Commerce resident. Ramsey served in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He was a truck driver for Colvin Trucking in Afton, OK.

Ramsey was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, Larry Hart, Roy Hart, Randy Hart and Robert Gourd and by 2 sisters, Linda Sue Hopkins and Alma Moreland.

Survivors include his wife Judy Hart of the home,5 sons, Joe Hart and Jason Hart of Troy, MO, Stetson Hart of Commerce, OK, Shannon O'Banion of Claremore, OK, Michael O'Banion of Commerce, OK and Aaron Waldon of Oklahoma City, OK, 2 daughters, Tosha Homler of Wyandotte, OK and Jessica Waldon of Joplin, MO, 5 brothers, Henry Hart, Ray Hart and Jack Hart all of Commerce, OK, Wesley Hart of Miami, OK and Richard Hart of Peoria, OK, 1 sister, Flo Henry of Miami, OK and 12 grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 29, 2017 at Northeast Oklahoma Veteran's Cemetery in North Miami, OK with Rev. Geoff Buffalo officiating. Military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 147 Funeral Detail. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
