Dorothy Goswick Gouge, 84, formerly of Racine, MO entered into rest on December 26, 2017.
She was born March 9, 1933 in Spurgeon, MO to William Guy and Etta Mae (Bartelmei) Tyler. A lifelong area resident, Dorothy was co-owner of the Leroy Goswick Lime Company and co-founder of the Joplin Chapter of Sweet Adelines.
Dorothy married E. Leroy Goswick in Neosho, MO on Nov. 27, 1948; he passed away on Jan. 17, 2001. She then married Dick Gouge on Sept. 20, 2003; he passed Feb. 5, 2004. Surviving Dorothy are three children: Richard L. Goswick and wife, Lonnis, of Tulsa, OK; Randolph J. Goswick, and husband, Stan Tubbs, Jr. of Houston, TX; and Tania R. Roach and husband, Rick, of Fairland, OK; three brothers: Gale Tyler of Joplin, MO; Ken Tyler of Neosho, MO; and Floyd Tyler of Corona, CA; ten grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both husbands, two children, one brother, and five sisters.
Services will be 10:00 am Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, Neosho, with Rev. Johnny Wilkins officiating. Interment will follow at Burkhart Cemetery, Racine, MO. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7 pm on Friday, Dec. 29, 2017.
