Bessie Furn (Eutsler) Vaughan was born January 5, 1945 to Emmit and Edna (Haley) Eutsler in Hurley, Missouri.
Furn went to her Lord and Savior on Thursday December 21, 2017 at 4:10 pm at the age of 72 years, 11 months and 16 days, after almost a six-year battle with breast cancer.
Preceding her in death were her parents, an infant daughter Beth Marie, four brothers Billy, Alvin, John, and Milford Eutsler.
On February 3, 1962, she was united in marriage to Samuel Vaughan in Crane, Missouri who survives her. Born to this union were six children. Dean Vaughan and his wife Ann of Knoxville, Iowa, Michael Vaughan and his wife Debora of Knoxville, Iowa, Lisa Hunt of Springfield, Missouri, Tamara Wallace of Seligman, Missouri, and Thomas Vaughan and his wife Kelly of Neosho, Missouri. Furn and Sam have 21 grandchildren and 25 Great grandchildren
Also surviving are six sisters Deloris Phelps of Rogers, Arkansas, Nellie McGill of Lamar, Missouri, Charlet Sewell of Stark City, Missouri, Pauletta Spangler of Stark City, Missouri, Lorene Beard of Marrionville, Missouri, and Jenean James of Aurora, Missouri, one brother Carl Eutsler of Marionville, Missouri and numerous nieces and nephews.
Furn's life enjoyments included reading, quilting, crocheting, bingo and dancing. Each year for 14 years she would go to the beach with her sisters in the spring. Furn loved going to church. She decided to be baptized again at the age of 72 in her front yard this past Memorial Day Weekend. Furn loved the 23rd Psalm.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2017, at Full Belivers Gospel Fellowship in Washburn with Pastor Karen Cypret officiating. The family will receive friends one hour until service time at the church.
Service arrangements and cremation are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville, Missouri.
