Mary Bousfield

Mary Ilene Bousfield, 75 of Pineville, Mo gained her wings on May 7th, with her loving family by her side.

Mary was born August 31, 1947 in Shawnee Kansas, to the late Irvin Edwin and Augusta Elizabeth Stumpff, along with 10 sisters and four brothers. 

On January 29, 1966 she married the love of her life, Rick Bousfield. In this marriage she was a loving and caring mother of two sons and two daughters. 








After working various jobs and raising her children and they left the home. She traveled, with her loving husband and rode horses/mules throughout the United States (her favorite was Texas), including Belize. They ran Ponderosa Horse Camp, in Pineville Missouri, before finding their true calling and built their own camp, Huckleberry Stables in Pineville Missouri, where she became The Queen of Huckleberry. Mary enjoyed spending time with family and visiting with all their guests, where some became more like family then guests.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Juanita Lee, Little Mary (age 2), Fred Stumpff, Dorothy Bain, Irene Henson, Jimmy Stumpff (age 2); her corgi, Newt and her precious Cali kitty.








Mary is survived by her husband Rick; sons, Rick Jr and Jenny of Salida, Colorado, Thomas and Amanda of Moundville, Missouri; daughters, Tina Funk and husband, Clyde of Pineville, Missouri, Lisa Cowhick and husband, Fred of Rich Hill, Missouri; 13 grandkids, 17 (+2 on the way) great grandkids. Siblings, Virgina Vann, Rosalie Leffert, Viola Berman, Pauline Stroud, George Stumpff, Kenneth Stumpff, Lila Dennis and Debborah McDonald and numerous nieces, nephews, and many family friends and her beloved corgi, Snubby.

A celebration of life will be held for all family and friends, July 8th at 1pm, at Ponderosa Trails, 1305 Ponderosa Rd, Pineville Missouri.
