(From Ozark Memorial Park Crematory)Darwin Earl Holly, 63, of Carl Junction, Missouri, died in Joplin on 07/11/2024 at 2:24pm of heart failure. He was born in Joplin on 06/06/1961 to Dale Holly and Dottie Pickering.
He met his ex-wife of 27 years, Victoria Holly, in high school and started a family. He worked many factory jobs over the years including Midcon Cables, King Press, and TAMKO to support his family until later in life transitioning to being a massage therapist and starting his business, Peace at Hand.
In his free time he enjoyed being a mechanic on lawn mowers and vehicles, and helping his children, first in early life to learn these skills, and in later life helping them with said skills as well as home repairs.
Darwin was preceded in death by his father Dale Holly, stepmother Shirley Holly, and siste,r Lisa Martin.
He is survived by his mother, Dottie Pickering, brothers, Dwayne and Wes, sister Dawn Lewis, ex-wife Victoria Holly, four sons; Jeremiah (Samantha), Josiah (Bobbi), Jonah (Jessica), and Jason (Kasie). He had six grandchildren; Elliott Nowlin, Eden, Kya, Emerson, Ezra, and Zoen.
His request was to be cremated. A memorial service will be planned towards the end of August.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Solace House of the Ozarks at 2425 Mina Ave in Joplin, who took phenomenal care of Darwin in his last days and is sustained by donations. All arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park of Joplin.
