(From Derfelt Funeral Home)Jesse Shane Wammack, age 44, passed away at 1:13 pm, Sunday, July 21, 2024, at his home following an illness.
Jesse was born September 13, 1979, in Joplin, Missouri. His parents were David Eugene Wammack and Roseanne Sue (Morey) Wammack. He was a lifetime resident of Galena.
He graduated from Riverton (KS) High School with the class of 1998. He had worked as a surveyor for 20 years, currently working for Own Engineering, Joplin, MO. He loved to play golf. He also enjoyed playing pool, playing poker, and karaoke music.
Jesse was married to Stephanie Louise Hill on June 24, 2023, at Galena, KS. She survives.
Additional survivors include his son, Wrigley Shane Wammack of the home; his father, David Eugene Wammack, Galena; his mother, Roseanne Sue Peters (Oscar), Galena; three brothers, Adam Wammack (Brittany), Matt Wammack (Johnnia), and Shelby Wammack, all of Galena; and nine nieces and nephews, Adam, Kaylee, Andrew, Savannah, Autumn, Matilyn, Isabella and Lillyannia and a great nephew Adler.
Jesse was entrusted to Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS for cremation. A graveside memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Hill Crest Cemetery, Galena, KS. Pastor Audie Tash will officiate.
