(From Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home)Buster Leon Fritchey, 85, Seneca, MO walked into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, July 28, 2024 surrounded by family.
Buster was born on August 30, 1938 on the family farm northeast of Seneca, the son of W.H. and Dessie Fritchey. He was one of five siblings who worked on their father's farm with Buster being in charge of running the Sulky hay rake before he was tall enough to reach the foot levers.
Buster was employed at Atlas Powder Company, Jones Truck Lines, and eventually retired from Milnot. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he served as a greeter. Buster loved his church family and looked forward to seeing them each Sunday. After honing his racing skills while driving to work on Candy House road, Buster made a name for himself at local dirt tracks and earned the title of "Most Popular Driver" multiple times. Buster was known for his clean racing and was always willing to help his competitors with whatever they might need.
On April 20, 1957 he married Carol Sue White, his high school sweetheart. Buster and Carol had three children. Spending time with his kids and grandkids was the highlight of Buster's life. Whether he was making breakfast or searching for four leaf clovers, he always made sure his babies got his undivided attention.
Buster was preceded in death by his parents, a sister; Betty Brumble, and a grandson; Benjamin Fritchey. Survivors include his wife Carol, his three children Denny Fritchey, Ricky Fritchey and wife Annetta, Cheryl Chester and husband Roger. Grandchildren Bruce Fritchey, Kayla Fritchey, Shaun Fritchey and wife Kelly, Steven Fritchey, Brittany Watson and husband Robert, Jena' Turner and husband Jonathan, and Kristan Chester. Great grandchildren Ethan Fritchey, Blane Fritchey, Tadem Bridges and husband Ben, Hannah Linders, Lainey Linders, and Jordan Turner and wife Aricyn. Great great grandchildren Shaylee Fritchey, Kyler Fritchey, Shandee Fritchey, Cooper Fritchey, Jackson Turner, Jayde Turner and one great great-granddaughter.

The family will receive friends from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, Wednesday, July 31st at the Seneca First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Seneca First Baptist Church with Aaron Wiebel and Rod VanGorkham officiating. Burial will be in the Swars Prairie Baptist Cemetery south of Seneca on DD highway. Pallbearers will be Ricky Fritchey, Denny Fritchey, Roger Chester, Shaun Fritchey, Steven Fritchey and Kristan Chester. Honorary pallbearers will be Nolan Gilstrap, Stan McCarty, Everett Renfro, Clyde Whitehead, Jim Wright, Donnie Howard, Stan Hughes, Roger Jones and Steve Crowley.
