(From Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home)Boyd L. Curtis 93, of Sarcoxie, Missouri passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Maple Tree Terrace.
Boyd was born on Wednesday, May 6, 1931, in LaRussell, Missouri, to the union of the late Eldridge and Ruth (Kelly) Curtis. After graduating from Miller High School in 1948 he proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
On September 28, 1957, he married the love of his life, Rosella Wecker, sharing sixty-seven wonderful years. He worked at the Jasper County Seed Company in Avilla, Missouri for over forty years. He was a member of Blake Baptist Church and the American Legion of Red Oak. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, farming and coon hunting. He will truly be missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Virgie Thomas.
Boyd is survived by his wife, Rosella; children, Susie Wecker, of Springfield, Missouri and Chuck Curtis and wife, Sherry, of Miller, Missouri.; two grandchildren, Cassie Shockey and husband, Zach, of Diamond, Missouri and Chase Curtis and wife, Jill, of Sarcoxie, Missouri; great-grandchildren, Koy Shockey, Cale Shockey, Tate Shockey and Charli Mae Curtis; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
