Gregg Holloway

Gregg Layne Holloway, age 57, a lifelong resident of Anderson, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, Missouri, after a sudden illness. Born on August 17, 1966, in Stella, Missouri, to the union of Robert Leslie “Bob” and Donna Sue (Rice) Holloway.

Raised in Anderson, Missouri, Gregg was a graduate of McDonald County High School, class of 1984. He furthered his education at Crowder College in Neosho, where he earned an associate's degree. Gregg's professional life was marked by dedication and skill, having worked several years at Sunbeam before retiring from Sabreliner/Premier Turbines as a respected Jet Engine Mechanic.








Gregg's love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Holloway of the home; a daughter, Misty Hoy and husband, Jeremy, of Noel; thirteen grandchildren; four great grandchildren; his parents, Bob and Donna Holloway of Anderson; two brothers, Craige Holloway and wife, Brenda, of Neosho, Missouri and Dr. Robert Holloway of West Hollywood, California; two sisters-in-law, Mary Moses of Anerson and Mary Ann Gosper (an honorary daughter); several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.


Gregg was preceded in death by his son, Robert Leon Gasper; his sister, Elizabeth Ann Holloway; his paternal grandparents, Ted and Marie Holloway; his maternal grandparents, Don and Lucille Rice; and his nephew, Phillip Baldwin.

A man of faith, Gregg attended Moss Bible Church in Anderson. His love for the great outdoors was evident to all who knew him. Whether he was hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature, Gregg was at peace when surrounded by the world's natural wonders. 






An avid animal lover, he shared his home and heart with numerous pets over the years, each of them cherished members of the Holloway family. His absence will be deeply felt, but the memories he created will continue to inspire and comfort those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri with his father, Bob Holloway officiating. Burial will follow at Peace Valley Cemetery in Anderson. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Craige Holloway, Robert Holloway, Gene Holloway, Doug Holloway Jeremy Hoy and Lorie Holloway Howard, with Steven James, Terri Morgan and Misty Hoy serving as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday morning beginning at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Memorials are being directed to Lisa Holloway c/o the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care of Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
