James Faulkner

James Edward Faulkner, Sr., 75, Joplin, was born on June 26 1949 and became an angel on July 26 2024 in the early morning hours in his home with his arms around his wife. James was the son of Leroy and Clara Faulkner. 

James was a loving and caring husband to Sherry Faulkner since 1970. When James first laid eyes on her she had him so tongue tied he couldn’t say his words straight. He was a Loving brother to his favorite sister Shirley He was also a loving and providing father to Jaime and Roy Nichols of Webb City, James Jr and Nikki Faulkner of Carl Junction Jamie and Barry Adams of Cameron.








He was also a loving Papa to Chase and Vennessa Nichols of Carthage Mo, Briana and Andrew Dwinell of Joplin Missouri, Royce Nichols of Carterville Mo and Liam Faulkner of Carl Junction Jade and Riley Daniels of Springfield Mo Kaci Kirby of Carl Junction. Chris Faulkner, Ty Dilley, Haley Dilley and Reese Dilley from Cameron, Missouri

He was a great grandpapa to Brysen and Ellee of Joplin, Jaydyn, Graysen, Rylen and Makeena of Carterville Emily, Carter, Cason, Chloe Cambree, Adalynn, Paxton, Renley Leighton, of Cameron, Mo. and an uncle to several nieces and nephews.

James spent his younger days helping his parents provide for his 8 younger brothers and sisters and as he got older and away from home he started his career of supporting his family by driving a Peterbilt with a 4 and a quarter kitty kat around the world and back again. His favorite saying was he drove more miles backwards than you have driven forward. When he wasn’t on the road, he was also a private licensed body guard.

James turned his life around and became a Christian and started to walk in the eyes of the lord at Rooted Baptist Church. He spent his retirement sitting outside reading the Bible drinking his ice cold unsweet tea watching his windmills with mandota black bear by his side. He enjoyed taking care of his yard, he also loved inviting his family out to eat hamburgers. He was an avid redskins fan and never missed a game and loved talking about football as well as his time spent on the road.

He loved admiring his 1999 red GMC Sierra pickup and thinking about what all he could do to doll it up.








He was preceded in death by his mother, father, grandmother, and his brothers Leroy Jr and Michael and sister Linda. And ex son-in-law Mathew Reeder.

Celebration of life is August 4th @ 1pm held at Rooted Baptist Church 302 S. Main St Carl Junction MO. All arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Memorial Park of Joplin, MO.
