Alvin Blevins

Mr. Alvin Lee Blevins, 84 years of Anderson, Missouri, a retired maintenance person and military veteran, departed this life on Sunday morning, July 14, 2024. 

Alvin was born on September 14, 1939, in Delaware County, Oklahoma, one of five children born to the late Richard and Nila (Dixon) Blevins. Alvin was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War, where he served as a first sergeant. 






Alvin dedicated most of his career and retired as a maintenance technician from Hudson Foods (Now Tyson Foods). Alvin Blevins was united in marriage on January 19, 1961, to Maylene Viola Armstrong, and to this union, two sons and daughters were born. Alvin enjoyed working on vehicles, gardening, taking care of his pets, and listening to music. He was also a proud member of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma.

Alvin is preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers Billy and Richard Blevins; a sister, Wanda Sue Blevins; a son, Alvin Lee Blevins Jr; a daughter, Lorraine Oler; and his wife Maylene Viola Blevins.

Alvin is survived by his sister Linda Lukens and her husband Benny Lukens of Jay, Oklahoma; a son Lee Roy Blevins of Anderson, Missouri; a daughter Shannon Robertson, and her husband Les Robertson of Goodman Missouri; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren as well as other family and friends.

Cremation will be performed by the Ozark Funeral Home of Anderson Missouri. A small memorial service/celebration of life will take place in the fall.
