Meme Wolfe

(From Simpson Funeral Home)

Emelie Jane Wolfe, affectionately known by many as "Meme", lived a life of compassionate dedication, generous love, and humble service. Born on August 26, 1940, in Springfield. Meme lived her life as a testament to the adage, "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others." Throughout her life, Meme embodied this spirit, finding joy in aiding those around her.

Meme spent her professional years at Midwest Materials, a respected insulation company. Her dedication was as evident in her work as it was in her personal life. She was a woman who saw the best in people, generously giving her time to those in need, and never meeting a stranger.

Even after her retirement, Meme remained active and engaged in her community, often found cheering on her favorite NASCAR drivers. However, what mattered most to Meme was her family and her friends, whose lives were profoundly touched by her kindness.

Meme is survived by her sons, Kevin (BobbiJo) Wolfe and Shawn (Heather) Wolfe and many nieces, nephews and grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Mary Burke; ex-husband, LeRoy Wolfe and sister, Teddie Berkley.

Visitation will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Webb City on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 3:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm at the same location.

Meme's life was a beacon of humble service, compassionate care, and generous love. As we bid farewell to Meme, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and the joy she brought to all who knew her. Services are under the direction of Simpson Funeral Home. The family encourages relatives and friends to visit www.simpsonfh.com to share photos and memories of Emelie.
