Zelpha Louise Stogsdill of North Miami, OK passed from this life Thursday, July 25, 2024 at her son’s home in Miami. She was 81.

Louise was born January 19, 1943 in Miami, OK . She had lived in North Miami and Commerce area all her life and graduated from Commerce High School class of 1961. Louise was a manager at Coastal Mart in Miami, had worked at Glen Berry and Burlington Manufacturing and Miami Nursing Center.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband Larry Stogsdill, 2 sons, Donnie Stogsdill and Larry Stogsdill, her grandmother that raised her Zelpha Barton, daughter-in-law, Linda Stogsdill, 9 brothers, Ruben Barton, Wiliver Barton, Ralph Barton, Loyal Barton, Royal Barton, Loren Barton, Lawrence Barton, Herbert Barton and Wylie Barton, 2 sisters, Floretta Evans and Delores Ellick and 2 great grandchildren, Ethan and Micah Dean.

Survivors include 2 sons, Brad Stogsdill of Miami, OK, Lonnie Stogsdill of Grove, OK, 4 daughters-in-laws, Melissa Stogsdill of Welch, OK, Lois Beamer of Grove, OK, Joy McCoy of Seneca, MO and Kathy Minscer of Joplin, MO, 1sisters, Vivian Curtis of Indianapolis, IN, 6 grandchidlren, Jessica Stogsdill, MacKenzie Stogsdill, Dillion Stogsdill and wife Meagan, Keylon Stogsdill and wife Whitney, Tatum Stogsdill and Triston Stogsdill and 11 great grandchildren, Emma, Kyle, Jaelee, Tahlon, Vandal, Daxtyn, Zelpha, Dawson, DeKlan, Meyah and Madden and her best friend Sarah Freeman of Commerce, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, Oklahoma. Rev. Mark Nickles will officiate. Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. 

Dillon Stogsdill, Keylon Stogsdill, Triston Stogsdill, Kyle Turk, Shelvin Trask, Michael Charles and Jerry Myers will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
