(From Westfield Chapel) Shirley June Carson Watson, of Owensboro, Kentucky and formerly from Northwest Arkansas, left us to celebrate her new life, with the Lord and Savior, July 14, 2024.
Shirley was born to Otis Gene Carson and Doris Faye Evans Carson, in Muskogee, Oklahoma on June 9, 1951.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and brother David Carson of Springdale, Arkansas.
She is survived by her husband Rick of the home in Owensboro, Kentucky, daughter Amanda Hyatt from Dickson, Tennessee (husband Bob and her son Rick Gibbs of Jane, Missouri), son Chris Watson from Wailuku, Hawaii (wife Miranda, his daughter Shelby Palmer of Winona, Minnesota, her husband Saul and their 3 sons, Red, Otis and Arthur, his son Mackenzie Watson from Sherwood, Arkansas, wife Rebecca and their son Judah). She is also survived by her brothers, Larry Carson (wife Diana) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Gary Carson of Springdale, Arkansas and Sister-In-Law Barbara Carson of Springdale, Arkansas.
Shirley loved to dote on her grandkids and great-grand kids as they fondly referred to her as Memaw. She also loved to travel with her husband, whether it be cruises or weekend getaways. She loved flowers and collecting Jim Shore “Snowmen."
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends at Westfield Chapel, 3236 W. Huntsville, Road, Springdale, Arkansas, August 3, 2024, from 1:00 – 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers or donations, Shirley simply requests that you enjoy life and loved one.
