Andy Andrews

Lynnes “Andy” Wayne Andrews, 92, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Mercy McCune Brooks Hospital. Andy was born in Miami, Oklahoma, on June 9, 1932, to John and Minnie Andrews. 

Andy joined the Army after graduating from high school and served in Panama during the Korean War. He started out his career as a National Salesman for Master Made Paint and then a salesman with OK Fishing Tackle in Claremore. He later became a manager for Walmart where he retired after several years.







Andy was joined in marriage to Carol M. Pugh on March 22, 1964, in Carthage; she preceded him in death on August 5, 2020.

He is survived by one daughter, Vicki Hayden (Rick) of Lamar; three sons, Craig Andrews (Gina) of Bixby, Oklahoma, Jeff Andrews (Lori) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Mike Andrews of Carthage; two brothers, Jerry Andrews (Barb) of Cassville, and Jimmie Andrews of Appleton, Wisconsin; eight grandchildren, Abbey Bombach (Roger), Wade Andrews (Sara), Kyle Andrews (Kelsey), Sarah Andrews (Clay Hucke), Jennifer Brown (Sean), Alicia Hyatt (Greg), Emily Hayden, and Celia Hayden; and 12 great grandchildren.








He was preceded in death by one sister, Bonnie Higgins; and two brothers, Bob D. Andrews and Delmer Andrews.

A funeral service will be held for Andy at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 29, 2024, at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage. The burial will be at Rocky Comfort Cemetery immediately following the service. The visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Ulmer Funeral Home.
