(From Ulmer Funeral Home)Wilma Jean Moudy Davis, 88, of Carthage, Missouri, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2024, at her home. She was born on February 29, 1936, in Woodward, Oklahoma, to Earl and Florence Moudy. She lived in Carthage most of her life.
Wilma was a CNA at the formally known McCune Brooks Hospital in Carthage for many years, then later retired from the Little Folks Preschool at the First Baptist Church in Carthage. She was a faithful member of the Church of God Holiness.
Wilma was united in marriage to Robert Davis on June 28, 1965, at the Church of God Holiness in Carthage; he preceded her in death on April 28, 2022.
She is survived by two sons, Daniel Davis of Carthage, and Gary Davis (Brittany) of Duenweg; and one daughter, Donna Platko of Carthage; four grandchildren Deonna Hawkins, Kyle Davis, Gracen Davis, and Brett Davis; and two great grandchildren, Destiny and Nolan Hawkins.
Along with her husband Robert, Wilma was preceded in death by her parents and five siblings.
There will be a funeral service for Wilma at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Ulmer Funeral Home in Carthage. The visitation will be held the evening before from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Ulmer Funeral Home. The burial will take place at Park Cemetery in Carthage immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
