(From Ulmer Funeral Home)Donald G. Steinburg, 66, of Grove, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024, in Joplin, Missouri. Donald was born March 13, 1958, in Carthage, Missouri to Donald Rutledge and Delilah McConnell. He was a longtime Carthage resident.
Donald spent some time serving in the U.S. Army as a Military Policeman in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. He then worked as a foreman for the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railroad for over twenty years.
Donald enjoyed being an avid collector of all things.
Donald was united in marriage to Martha Blevins in February 1998 in Miami, Oklahoma; she survives.
Donald is survived by his wife, Martha Steinburg; four sons, Donald G. Steinburg, II of Grove, Oklahoma, Brandon Steinburg of Strang, Oklahoma, Mike English and Jeremy English, both of Grove, Oklahoma; four daughters, Heather Gibby of Grove, Oklahoma, Misty Yaus of Joplin, Missouri, Sarah Fields of Jay, Oklahoma, and Liz Woods of Portland, Oregon; fourteen grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Delilah Rutledge; one brother, Kenneth McConnell; and one sister, Glenda Smallis.
As per Donald’s wishes, he will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
