(From Paul Thomas Funeral Home)Michael Ray Captain of Miami, OK passed from this life Monday, July 1, 2024 at Eastwood Manor in Commerce, OK. He was 65.
Michael was born March 7, 1959 in Miami, OK to Dennis and Zoleta (Gleaves) Captain. He had lived in the Miami and Seneca area all his life and graduated from Seneca High School in Seneca, MO. He was a member of the Eastern Shawnee Tribe.
Michael was preceded in death by his father Dennis Captain.
Survivors include his mother Zoleta Captain of the home, 1 sister Monica Bettis and husband Wayne of Seneca, MO and his nephew, Jesse Bettis of Racine, MO.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Captain Cemetery, east of Miami, OK. Shawn King will conduct Native American rites.
