Sybil LaVern Creager, age 90, passed away at 7:05 pm, Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Galena Manor following a long illness.
LaVern was born September 25, 1928 in Galena KS. Her parents were Fred and Olive (Simpson) Qualls. She was a lifetime resident of Galena.
She graduated from Galena High School with the class of 1945. She worked over 30 years at Sunshine Bakery, Joplin, MO. She was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Baxter Springs, KS.
She was married to Richard Creager on January 28, 1950 in Berryville, AR. She preceded her in death on September 18, 2011.
Surviving is one step-daughter, Camilla Bembry, Springfield, MO; 2 step-grandchildren, 5 step great-grandchildren, and several cousins, including Jim and Carol Rae Qualls, Galena, KS who were her care-givers.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 am, Friday, September 6, 2019 at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery, Joplin, MO under the direction of Derfelt Funeral Home, Galena, KS.
