Charles D. Harvey, Sr., age 68, of Carl Junction, Missouri passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016 at his residence.
He was born on March 6, 1947 in Carl Junction to Paul E. Harvey, Sr. and Rachel (McCann) Harvey. Charles was an avid fisherman and a retired CNC Machinist with Sperry Rand Vickers of Joplin, which he followed to North Carolina and retired with John S. Barnes in 2008.
He is survived by his son, Charles D. Harvey, Jr. of Houston, Texas; daughter, Debra Harvey of Carl Junction; grandchildren, Meghan Shinn of Statesville, North Carolina, Matthew Orahood, Jr. of Carl Junction, Sarah Orahood of Carl Junction; brother, Paul Harvey, Jr. of Carthage; and a sister, Marjorie Lang of DeMott, Indiana. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Simpson Funeral Home of Carl Junction. The visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the services.
