Rebel Reed

Rebel L. Reed, age 49 of Springfield, Missouri formerly of the Joplin, Missouri area passed away February 10, 2016 following a sudden illness.

She was born May 26, 1966 in Webb City, Missouri to the late Jimmie Reed Sr. and Vivian Walker-Reed.

Rebel lived in the Joplin, Missouri area most of her life. She moved to Springfield, Missouri after being displaced by the May 22, 2011 Joplin, Missouri tornado. She graduated with honors in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science from MSSU. She loved to draw and read.

She is survived by one daughter, Breana Miller; one son, Brandon Miller; one sister, Monica Mitchell; one brother, Jimmie Reed Jr.; her step mother, Cindy Reed; one Uncle Tommy Reed; one Aunt Dorothy Reed, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Rebel was preceded in death by her parents, one son Dakota Reed, and her grandparents.

The family will conduct a celebration of life service at a later date.

Contributions are requested in memory of Rebel Reed and may sent in care of the funeral home.

Cremation arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Hedge-Lewis-Goodwin Funeral Home Webb City, Missouri.
