Mrs. Patricia Von (O’Brien) Wiley, 80, of Neosho, Missouri, formerly of Jane, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday morning, February 6, 2016, at Medicalodge Care Center in Neosho, Missouri, after a long illness.
Patti entered this life on January 18, 1936, in rural Jane, Missouri, the only daughter born to the late John Joseph and Edith Estella (Russell) O’Brien. She was raised in Jane, Missouri and was a graduate of White Rock High School. On February 7, 1957, she was united in marriage to Edwin Vernon Wiley and to this union one son was born. In 1969 they moved to Waco, Texas, where they remained for the next twenty years. In 1990, she and Ed moved to Muskogee, Oklahoma. After Ed’s passing on September 4, 2010, Patti made the decision to return home to McDonald County. She enjoyed composing music, playing the piano and visiting with her friends and neighbors. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin Wiley; her son, Edwin Michael Wiley; and five brothers, Wallace, Richard, Russell, Harold and Don O’Brien.
Patti is survived by one brother, Michael O’Brien of Stella, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Wiley are 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 11, 2016, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Bro. J.R. Burr officiating. Burial will follow in the Jane Cemetery.
