Shirley B. Evinger, age 69 of Neosho, passed away suddenly at her home on Sunday, February 7, 2016.
Shirley was born on November 11, 1946 in Oakland, California to the late Lewis Ray Jones and Ella Belle Brown Jones. She later moved to southern Missouri where she graduated from Noel High School in 1965. She worked for Sunbeam in Neosho for 17 years before retiring due to health.
She is survived by a son, Justin Evinger and wife, Sofia of South Pittsburg, Tennessee; daughter, Amanda Edens and husband, Brian of Neosho; step daughter, Janie White Eagle of Neosho; grandchildren, Blake, William, Alex, Jasmine, Alexis, Kaleb and Chance; sister, Mabel Jones of Joplin; brothers, Jimmy Jones of Joplin and George Jones of California; nieces, Patricia Beard and Shelly Jones; nephews, Christopher and Steven Jones.
Other than her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by a grandchild, Mark Owens and a brother, Luther Jones.
Funeral services are planned for Thursday, February 11 at 1:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary. Interment will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery in Joplin. Family will receive friends from noon up to service on Thursday as well.
