Philip “Mike” Bacon, 69 passed away February 3, 2016 at his home in Carthage, Missouri.
Mike was born December 10, 1946 in Brookline, Massachusetts to William Bartlett Bacon II and Jane (Oslin) Bacon. Mike was an area resident since 1995 and was a handyman, he owned and operated M&K painting in Carthage. Mike served in the Army in the Vietnam War, he was a member of the V.F.W. Post # 9 Edwin Wiggins.
Mike is survived by his dear friend and former wife Karrie Tabor, three daughters Brittanie Garza of Carthage, Courtney Bacon of Carthage and Amanda Douglas of Hixson, TN, three sons Christopher Bacon of Joplin, MO, Michael Bacon of Philadelphia, PA, and D.J. Harms of Joplin, MO. Eight grandchildren, Patricia, Haley, Robert, Nathan, Jada, Edgar, Nicholas, and Victoria. Two sisters Colleen Bacon Phillips Peace of Amarillo, TX, and Maria Harkey of Bend, OR, and one brother Bart Bacon of Rio Rancho, NM.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday February 8, 2016 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Contributions can be made to the W.F.W. Post # 9 Edwin Wiggins, in care of Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.ulmerfh,com.
