Jimmy D. Smart, 52, Carthage, MO passed away at his home Wednesday, February 24, 2016. Jimmy Danize Smart was born on February 13, 1964 in West Plains, MO to James Luther Smart and Bethel Coleman. James was a member of the National Guard and also worked security at Freeman Hospital.
Survivors include; his wife, Sherry (Colibert) Smart, Carthage; his parents; two daughters, Tasha Stanley, Carthage, and Brittney Cole, Carthage; stepson, Dillon Ruark, Joplin; sisters, Cindy Ruark, Neosho,Diane, Kelli, Vernie Pauley, Carthage; half sister, Betty Ruth; half brother, Dane, Texas; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister Tina and a twin brother James.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of Knell Mortuary.
