Donald Brewer, age 71, of Carthage passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016 after a short battle with brain cancer. He was born on December 8, 1944 in Carthage, Missouri to Clarence Brewer and Mabel (Griffith) Brewer. Donald was a truck driver, loved the outdoors, and loved spending time with his family. He married Carolyn (Hamilton) Brewer on February 4, 1964 in Springfield and she survives him. Donald is also survived by his sons, Clarence, Jerry, Kerry; daughters, Jennifer, Sherene; daughter-in-law, Stephanie; son-in-law, Fred; grandchildren, Becky, Mandy, Taunie, Angelique, Emalee, Ambrosha, Wesley, Nick, Clayton, and Hayden; great grandchildren, Dominick, Jami, Mallory, Kaylee, Tori, Abree, Gracelynn, Elijah, Mylee, and one on the way. He came from a very large family of 13 siblings, and is survived by one brother and two sisters. Donald was preceded by one son, Michael. Donald has been taken for cremation. The family will have a memorial service at the Lonestar Baptist Church in Afton, Oklahoma on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 2:00 PM with David Talley officiating. The family does suggest memorial contributions to be made to the Lonestar Baptist Church at P.O. Box 561, Afton, OK 74331 in his memory.
