Gladys Ollivia Garren, 87 years, of Goodman, Missouri was called to heaven on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Anderson, Missouri.
She was born on January 7, 1929 in McNatt, Missouri to the late Estes and Josephine (Bellamy) Francisco. She married Leland Garren in 1946 in Kansas. Gladys worked as a nurse at local Hospitals. She was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing and making hand-pieced quilts. She was a member of the McNatt Baptist Church in Goodman, Missouri.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Garren; her parents; her step-mother, Bonnie Leah Francisco; her grandparents who raised her, William and Tina Francisco; a daughter, Sandra Lynn Garren; sister, JoAnn Steverson; brother, Bill Francisco.
Gladys is survived by a son, David Garren and wife Lek of Stella, Missouri; a daughter, Brenda Sumter of Goodman, Missouri; two sisters Colleen Oxendine and Esther White and husband Tom; one brother Calvin Francisco and wife Mary; two grandchildren, Bradley Sumter and wife Angela, Angie Warne-Robin and husband Billy; two great grandchildren Kaylie and Owen; along with numerous nieces and nephews and friends who will dearly miss Gladys.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the Union Cemetery in Stella, Missouri. JR Burr will officiate.
