Ginger Kay Payne, 60, Granby, died February 20, 2016 at her home, following a two year illness.
She was born December 23, 1955 in Aroma, Missouri, the daughter of Burley and Velma (Sitler) Carterman. She was a lifelong area resident and worked as a dairy farmer. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, camping, fishing and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Rocketdyne Church of Christ in Neosho.
Ginger married Jack Payne on October 29, 1971 in Diamond, Missouri, and he survives. Also surviving are two children, Justin Payne and wife, Amy of Stark City and Brandon Payne of Granby; five grandchildren, Nate, Garrett, Gavin, Aubrey and Zoey Payne; two great grandchildren, Brayden Payne and Kayleigh Payne and one on the way; one brother, Kenny Carterman and three sisters, Billie Jo McDermott of Diamond, Peggy Eutsler of Granby and Nancy Zartman of Eldorado Springs, MO. Ginger is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Jeanie Longman.
