Ruth N. Burnett, Joplin, Missouri, died February 20, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Joplin, at the age of 64.
Ruth was born Aug. 25, 1951 in Ft. Scott, Kansas, the daughter of Clarence and Mary J. (White) Price. She owned and operated Burnett Bookkeeping and Accounting Services with her husband, Larry Burnett and retired in 2014 due to failing health. Ruth enjoyed reading, gardening and sewing and was a member of the Antique Car Club, the Order of the Eastern Star and was of the Lutheran faith.
She married Larry Edward Burnett on March 15, 1985 and he preceded her in death in September, 1995. She is survived by two step children, Pam Conley of Tulsa, OK and Chip Burnett of Joplin; grandchildren, Adrian Ford and Curtiss Conley; brothers in law, Steve Burnett and wife, Jann of Granby and Doug Burnett and wife, Cheryl of Ft. Myers, FL; nieces and nephews, Megan Hinkle and husband, Nick of Aberding, SD; Lance Burnett and wife, Mendy of Chanute, KS; Brittany Terlep of Ft. Myers, FL; Jodi Burnett of Americas, GA and Beau Burnett of Wesley Chapel, FL. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Susie Burnett.
Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Granby, MO.
