Lyda Marie Kinslow, 63 years, of Anderson, Missouri was called to heaven on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at her home in Anderson, Missouri.
She was born on July 7, 1952 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late John and Eileen (Boyd) Ring. Lyda married the love of her life, Ollie Kinslow on June 3, 1971 in Oakdale, California and to this union two children were born. They moved to Anderson, Missouri 35 years ago coming from California. Lyda worked at Hudson Foods in Noel, Missouri for 13 years and at Moark in Anderson, Missouri for three years; also she filed Income Taxes for several people. In her spare time she helped her husband with the rabbits and pigs, and would crochet the most beautiful bed dolls. Lyda was a member of the Patterson Heights Baptist Church in Anderson, Missouri.
Lyda is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Ollie Kinslow, Sr. of the home; a son, Ollie Kinslow, Jr. and wife, Tina of Anderson, Missouri; a daughter, Lynnette Patterson and husband, Scott of Anderson, Missouri; a sister, Charlene "Duty" Gutierrez of Turlock, California; eight grandchildren, Derrek and wife, Emily, Lane, Brett, Kaitlin, Bailey, Ashley, Carter and Olivia; a great grandchild, Avery; along with a host of other relatives and friends who will dearly miss Lyda.
Funeral service for Lyda Kinslow will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at the Patterson Heights Baptist Church in Anderson, Missouri. Pastor Fred Mills and Pastor Scott Leonard will officiate. Burial will follow in the Peace Valley Cemetery in Anderson, Missouri. Derrek Woodard, Brett Woodard, Lane Kinslow, Carter Kinslow, Scott Patterson and Ollie Kinslow, Jr. will honor Lyda's life by serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, February 29, 2016 at the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at this time.
