Daniel Ray Benson Warren, Jr., age 79, Joplin, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017 at Mercy of Joplin.
Danny was born June 24, 1938 in Joplin, son of the late Daniel Ray Benson Warren and Beatrice Wilma Linder Warren. He graduated from Carl Junction High School, and worked for several years with the City of Joplin at the Schifferdecker Golf Course. He also drove a truck for Jerry Dotson Trucking, and most recently was driving a bus for the Joplin R-8 School District. He enjoyed being a member of the Joplin Elks Lodge.
In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Harris; a brother, James Franklin Warren, and a sister, Janet Davis.
Survivors include his brother, Mike Warren and wife Karen of Justin, Texas; sisters, Judy Ray and husband Jack of Duenweg, and Marilyn Long of Carthage; children Tricia Harris, Barbara Gregory, Sandra Ray and husband John all of Joplin, and Susan Robinson and husband Mark of Carl Junction; grandchildren, Lindsey Howard and Shelby, Michael Ray, Ryan Gregory, Stephanie Gregory, Corey Simmons, Mackenzie Robinson, Joelee Robinson, Jaci Robinson, and Cooper Robinson; great-grandchildren, Jodie and Carlie Howard; several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Bob Simon officiating.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
