(From Parker Mortuary)Gary D. Wright, age 73 of Joplin, Missouri passed away peacefully at Freeman Hospital on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.
Gary was born September 17, 1949 in Dallas, Texas to the late Jack and Lela (Walker) Wright. A short time later, the family made their way to the Joplin area where he has lived most of his life.
Gary worked in the construction business and was a well-known guitarist and drummer for several local classic rock bands.
On January 21, 1975, Gary married Vicky Dermo in Joplin, she preceded him in death in July of 2008. He has 2 daughters, Stacy Jones and Sarah Wright of Joplin; a close brother in-law, Randy Dermo and wife, Jeanie of Joplin; 2 granddaughters; plus several extended family and a host of friends.

No services have been planned at this time and cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
