Mindy Doyle

Melinda “Mindy” Ann (Foulks) Doyle, age 44, of Jasper, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin.

Mindy, as most knew her, entered this life on March 2, 1979, in Joplin to Terry Foulks and Linda (Isenmann) Foulks. She grew up and attended school in Carl Junction. She graduated from Carl Junction High School in 1997. 

Soon after, she attended Missouri Southern State University where she completed her degree in Criminal Justice. There she met Shawn Doyle, together they were united in marriage on August 17, 2001, in Joplin. Mindy was an attentive and loving wife and mother. 

In 2010 Mindy returned to Carl Junction Schools as a Paraprofessional. Her dedication to her work was unwavering, and she provided exceptional care and stability for the children with whom she worked. As she fought a courageous battle with cancer, Mindy kept the same smile that she greeted students with every day of her career, until the Lord called her to her eternal home. 

In April, Mindy was awarded the Carl Junction Support Staff of the Year for the 2022-2023 calendar year. She enjoyed the outdoors, everything from her greenhouse and garden to spending family time at the lake. She was talented in crafts and enjoyed remodeling projects with her husband. Mindy enjoyed decorating the halls and classrooms of Carl Junction Schools. Mindy’s caring heart and ways will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Shawn Doyle, of Jasper; her parents, Terry Foulks, of Mt. Vernon, and Linda (Isenmann) Foulks, of Joplin; two daughters, Kaytelynn Doyle and Madison Doyle, both of Jasper; and one brother, Jason Foulks, of Webb City. Mindy was preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Jill Foulks.

Graveside committal of ashes will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, at 4:00 PM at Mitchell Cemetery in Jasper.
