Carolyn Hill

Carolyn Sue Hill, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on October 3, 2023, in Joplin, MO, after a lengthy illness. Born on March 26, 1944, also in Joplin, Carolyn was a lifelong resident of the city she adored.
 
Carolyn was a graduate of the Joplin High School class of 1962. Following her education, she found employment as a laborer at FAG Bearing in Joplin. Throughout her career of over 25 years, she was known for her hard work, diligence, and dedication, reflecting her strong Midwestern values.







 
Carolyn was a beacon of generosity, kindness, and selflessness, qualities that endeared her to everyone she met. She had a heart full of love for her family and a spirit that was truly inimitable. Her life was a testament to these virtues, and she left an indelible mark on the lives she touched.
 
Above all, Carolyn was a devoted family woman. She was a loving mother to her daughters, Deborah Crane of Joplin, and Rebecca Allen of St. Louis. The joy of her life was her four grandchildren, Brandon Kellison, Aaron Kellison and Fiancee Amanda, Nathan Dobbs, and Christopher Dobbs. She was also blessed with six great-grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness. Carolyn also leaves behind her siblings, Nancy J. Smith of Vinita, OK, John Sadler of Joplin, Willard Sadler of Carl Junction, and Rick Sadler of Carl Junction. Her family was her greatest pride and joy, and she dedicated her life to ensuring their happiness and well-being.







 
Carolyn was preceded in death by a son, Michael Todd Hill; sisters, Thelma Haase, Ollie Jones and brothers, James Robert and Jackie Sadler.
 
Carolyn Sue Hill, a woman of immense kindness and generosity, will be deeply missed. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate her life, a life well-lived, filled with love, generosity, and kindness. Carolyn's legacy will live on in the hearts of those she loved and those who loved her.
 
A family celebration and internment of ashes will take place at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
