Neal Schrader

Neal Eugene Schrader, age 69, of Joplin passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023 after battling a long illness.

Neal was born April 18, 1954 to the late Hubert and Grace (Fare) Schrader in Phoenix, Arizona. He was married to his wife of 47 years, Theresa Darlene Cusick on April 9, 1976. She survives.

Neal worked for Southard Construction for 43 years before retiring. He loved being outdoors whether working, fishing, hunting, canoeing, or camping out with family. He was also known to enjoy coffee with friends over the years and tell many stories. He will be missed by many.

In addition to his wife of 47 years, Darlene, Neal is survived by a son, Brad Schrader and wife Mary of Joplin; daughters, Sarah Roark and husband Rick of Diamond, and Sherry Cornell and husband Chris of Alba, MO; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Schrader and wife Geri of Joplin; sisters, Helen Washam and husband John of Grove, OK, and Carolyn Bates of Joplin; several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Parker Mortuary Chapel with family and friends sharing stories and memories together.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
