(From Ozark Funeral Home)William Fredrick Olin, age 73, known affectionately as Bill to his friends and family, passed away on Saturday evening, July 6, 2024, after months of failing health. Born on July 11, 1950, in Altmar, New York, to the late Ezra and Edith Olin. He departed this world in the comfort of his home in Southwest City, Missouri, surrounded by the love of his family.
Bill's life was one of dedication and love. He married his soulmate, Irene Trumble, on March 15, 1974, and together they built a life filled with joy and laughter. Their partnership was blessed with four wonderful children: Tony, Heather, Sarah, and Rebecka. Bill's legacy further blossomed with the arrival of nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of his family, including a host of other relatives and friends who were fortunate enough to know him.
Raised in the small town of Altmar, Bill carried with him the values of community and hard work throughout his life. In 1985, he made the decision to move his family to Southwest City, Missouri, a place that quickly became home. Bill's professional life was characterized by his loyalty and dedication, as evidenced by his thirty-three-year tenure at Simmons Foods in Southwest City, from which he retired in 2019.
Bill's interests were simple yet deeply rooted in the pleasures of home and nature. He found solace and joy in mowing his yard, a task that was never a chore but a pastime that allowed him to reflect, enjoy the outdoors, and take pride in his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezra and Edith (Britton) Olin, and his two sisters, Sherri Barber and Elizabeth Williams.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
