Bob Cooper

Robert Lee “Bob” Cooper, age 72, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, formerly of Goodman, Missouri, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after a recent decline in health. Born on March 9, 1952, in Georgetown, Illinois, to Eugene and Ann (McFarland) Cooper.

Bob was a man of many talents and interests. Raised in Georgetown, he carried with him the values of hard work and dedication throughout his life. He met the love of his life, Nancy, in 1982 in Ceres, California. Together, they built a life filled with love and laughter until her passing on November 26, 2016. In 2001, Bob and Nancy moved to Goodman, Missouri.





 

Professionally, Bob was known for his skillful hands and mechanical aptitude. He was a talented mechanic who could breathe new life into the most stubborn of engines. His expertise extended to the open road as a licensed CDL Truck driver. Bob's work was not just a job; it was a reflection of his commitment to excellence in every endeavor.

Bob's interests were as varied as they were engaging. He was an avid fisherman, finding peace and solace in the quiet moments by the water. His passion for working on old cars was more than a hobby; it was a canvas for his creativity and ingenuity. Bob also had a love for game shows, with "Wheel of Fortune" being a particular favorite.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Nancy Cooper; a stepdaughter, Leatha Tweedy; and a sister, Nancy.








Bob's legacy lives on through his loving family. He is survived by three children, Kenny Tweedy and wife, Carol, of Seneca, Missouri, Eddie Tweedy and wife, Christy, of Anderson, Missouri, and Maria Taylor and husband, Casey, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. His lineage includes twenty grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Bob also leaves behind two brothers, Ron Cooper and wife, Sandy, of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Butch Cooper and wife, Edy, of Middleburg, Florida.

Bob will be laid to rest next to his wife, Nancy, at Butler Creek Cemetery near Sulphur Springs, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
