Judith Hayes

(From Simpson Funeral Home)

Judith Ann Hayes, lovingly known as Judy, was born on June 6, 1938, in Joplin, Missouri, and she passed away on July 5, 2024. With her passing, we remember a compassionate soul, a dedicated wife, mother, and friend who was the embodiment of love and kindness.

Judith was a beacon of warmth in the lives of those around her. She carried a big heart, always wore a welcoming smile, and was a true people person.

Having worked at Elder's Shirt Factory in Webb City, Missouri for most of her career until she joined as an employee at Labarge until her retirement in 2000, she was a committed and supportive colleague who brought joy to the workspace. Her passion for cooking was well known among her loved ones. She used to say that she expressed her love through the dishes she prepared, and everyone who tasted her cooking could vouch for that.

Her dedication wasn't limited to her professional life; she was deeply devoted to her family, and her faith in God. Married to her husband, John Hayes, since January 1, 1960. She was blessed with a son, Kevin Hayes and a daughter, Sandy Baker. She was a member of The New Beginnings club and had a deep relationship with the congregation at the Forest Park Church. Judith also had a special place in her heart for her cats, which she treated with the same love and affection she showed to everyone she knew.

Judith was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Mary Webb; husband John Hayes; sister Margaret Woods. She is survived by her brothers Allan (Faith) Webb and Henry Webb; son Kevin (Linda) Hayes; daughter Sandy (Jeff) Baker; grandson Chris Baker; her niece Debbie Fitzgerald and Teresa Rogers.

A Visitation will be held Saturday July 20, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. at Simpson Funeral Home followed by an 11:00 Celebration of Life at the same location. The family encourages relatives and friends to visit www.simpsonfh.com to share photos and memories of Judith. As we remember her, let's celebrate a life beautifully lived and the lives she touched with her generosity and warmth. Let's remember Judith Hayes as a loving woman with a compassionate heart, dedicated to her family and faith. May her soul rest in peace.
