Kyler Finley

(From Parker Mortuary)

Kyler Michael Finley, age 29, of Forsyth, formerly of Neosho, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Mercy Hospital in Joplin.

Kyler, son of Mickie Finley and Amy (Wynn) Reardon, was born on September 22, 1994, in Joplin. He attended McDonald County schools as a young boy and then attended Neosho High School where he graduated with honors. He then furthered his studies at the University of Arkansas, and his passion for the culinary arts led him to the prestigious Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts in Colorado.

On November 27, 2021, Kyler was united in marriage to Hailie Hazlewood. Together they made a home for their five children filled with love, laughter, and delicious creations. He was employed with Guy Fieri's Branson Kitchen, however his dream of bringing his creative dishes to the streets was in the process of becoming a reality as he was on the verge of launching his own food truck.

The kitchen was Kyler's true domain. From a young age, he found solace and joy in cooking, a passion that only grew stronger with time. He was an avid sports fan, with a particular fondness for the St. Louis Cardinals. His artistic talents were not confined to food alone; he was also skilled in working with epoxy resin, creating everything from intricate jewelry to sturdy, beautiful furniture. Kyler’s family will fondly remember the delicious tamales he lovingly prepared for Christmas dinners, a tradition that will be deeply missed but forever cherished in their hearts.

Survivors include his wife, Hailie Finley, of Forsyth; his children, IzaBella Jade Finley, and Oakley Michael Finley, both of the home; three bonus children, Aaron Michael Seward, Brentley Sage Seward, and Colton Ryan Seward, also of the home; his mother, Amy Reardon, and her husband, Andrew, of Neosho; his father, Mickie Finley, and his wife, Crystal, of Seneca; siblings, Kristopher Finley, and his wife, Riva, and their children, Michael, Max, and Ellie, of Kansas City, Kooper Reardon, and Mason Reardon, both of Neosho, Kade Finley, Kalyn Winnett, and Kelsi Finley, all of Seneca; his bonus brothers, David Dean, and his wife, Stormi, of Anderson, and Eduardo Del Moral, of Joplin; grandparents, Fayetta Wynn, of Neosho, and Jonathan Finley, of Seneca; father-in-law, Michael Parker, and his wife, Julie Caywood, of Joplin; and mother-in-law, Rachel Morris Lasley, of Cassville; and numerous loved extended family and friends.

Kyler was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gary Wynn, and Jackie Finley.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Parker Mortuary in Joplin with burial to be held at a later date. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Thursday, July 11th beginning at 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
