Tillman Baker

(From Lakin Funeral Home)

March 3, 1990 - June 5, 2026

“This is my testimony: God has graciously given us eternal life, and this eternal life is found in His Son, Jesus. So therefore, whoever has the Son has eternal life.” 1 John 5:11–12

Tillman James Baker, beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew, cousin, and trusted friend, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on June 5, 2026.

Tillman’s life was rooted in a genuine and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. He loved his family deeply, cherished his church, and never missed an opportunity to tell someone about the saving grace of Jesus. His faith was not simply something he talked about—it was evident in the way he lived. His compassion, kindness, encouragement, and unforgettable smile reflected the joy he carried in his heart. Most importantly, Tillman’s greatest desire was for others to know Jesus.

Although a graduate of Billings High School, Tillman made Marionville, Missouri, his home for many years. He became a treasured part of the community, touching countless lives through his kindness and friendship. Tillman loved sports, whether he was playing the game or standing behind the plate as an umpire. Through sports, he formed countless friendships and shared many memories with people throughout the community.

Those who knew Tillman knew that he had a special way of making people feel welcomed, valued, and loved. He leaves behind not only a family who adored him, but also a wide circle of friends whose lives were made richer simply because they had the privilege of knowing him.

Tillman was welcomed home into the loving arms of his Savior and reunited with those who had gone before him, including his paternal grandparents, Merl and Eleanor Baker of Poteau, Oklahoma; his maternal grandfather, James Robles of Santa Maria, California; and his best friend and beloved brother, Cody Baker of Republic, Missouri.

Those who remain to cherish his memory and await the day they will be reunited are his loving parents, Greg and Jamie Baker of Marionville, Missouri; his sister, Jodi Lynn Dittman and husband Brandon of Republic, Missouri; Ashley Baker (Cody) of Republic, Missouri; and his beloved nieces and nephews, Olin Baker, Isabella Baker, and Maverick Baker, Jolynn Harmon, Baker Harmon, and Cooper Dittman, all of Republic, Missouri.

He is also lovingly remembered by his grandparents, David and Judy Brown of Marionville, Missouri; his aunts and uncles, Nanette and Mark Bowling of Crane, Missouri; Dava and David Whitehead of Marionville, Missouri; and Okie and Joseph Dickson of Rock Hill, South Carolina; along with numerous cherished cousins.

Though Tillman’s earthly journey has come to an end, his legacy of faith, love, kindness, and friendship will continue through the lives he touched. His absence leaves a place that cannot be filled, but his family and friends find comfort in knowing that Tillman is now in the presence of the One he faithfully served.

His life was a testimony. His greatest mission was pointing others to Christ. And if you knew Tillman, you can almost hear his unmistakable invitation one more time:

“Let me tell you about my Jesus.”

Until we meet again, Tillman will never be forgotten. He is simply waiting for us at home.

There was a Celebration of Life Service on Thursday, August 13th at 7:00 p.m. at Freedom Christian Center, 17044 Hwy 39 in Aurora, Missouri. Arrangements were under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, Missouri.
