Donald Seth Swem, 79, Neosho, MO entered into rest June 7, 2019 after an extended illness. He was born May 20, 1940 in Wichita, KS to Seth and Virgil (Butz) Swem.
In 1971, he moved to Neosho from Denver, CO. Mr. Swem was a self-employed construction worker. He enjoyed camping, fishing, going to garage sales, and being with people.
Donald and Geri Weber were married January 14, 1963; she survives of the home. He is also survived by three children, Susan Swem of Pleasant Hope, MO, Brenda Chester of Neosho, MO, and Daniel Swem, also of Neosho; six grandchildren, Sandra, Tanner, Tori, Deven, Dalton, and Drew; and ten great grandchildren.
Donald was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Swem; two sisters, Thelma Lennick and Laura McSorley; three brothers, Melvin Swem, Bobby Swem, and William Swem; and his parents.
Graveside services will be 10 am, Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at King Cemetery, Neosho, MO with Rev. Keith Brumfield officiating. The family will have a time of visitation from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm Monday, June 10, 2019; viewing will be Monday from 8 am until 7 pm.
