Dorothy Holliday

Dorothy Pauline Holliday, 87 of Jasper, Missouri passed away Monday, June 3, 2019 at Carthage, Missouri. She was born June 18, 1931 in Nampa, Idaho to Paul and Doris (Frerer) Swearingen. Dorothy was a homemaker. She was a member of the Countryside Church west of Jasper.

Dorothy was united in marriage to Arthur “Doc” Holliday Jr. on December 24, 1950 at Mt. Moriah Methodist Church, Carthage, MO.. He preceded her in death on December 20, 1991. 








Survivors include one daughter, Diane Davis and husband Jack of Joplin, MO.. Two sons, Don Holliday and wife Michele of Carthage, MO.,and Bruce Holliday and wife Kelly of Jasper, MO.. One sister, Ruth Potter and husband Ronald of Carthage, MO.. One brother, Paul Swearingen and wife Barbara of Marion, Iowa. Nine grandchildren, John Newman, Jill Renfro, Krystal damon, Austin Rosenthal, Andrew Rosenthal, Katie Bronson, Ben Holliday, and Kristy Holliday. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Holliday on August 23, 2017. Great- grandchildren, Jaren Renfro, Jace Renfro, Holliday Newman, Durham Mickey, Isabella damon, Israel Damon, Gabriel damon, Kaylin Holliday, and Wyatt Bronson. 

Funeral services will be held at Weng Funeral Chapel on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 11:00 A..M.. The family will receive friends from 10:00 till 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 7, 2019 at Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper, MO.. Burial will be in Paradise Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Gideon’s International.
