Wilma Easley, age 106, of Cassville, Missouri passed away Friday, May 31, 2019 at Roaring River Health and Rehabilitation in Cassville.
She was born October 15, 1912 in Aurora, Missouri, the daughter of Eugene H. and Rebecca Ann (Bolton) Thomas. On August 25, 1949 she was united in marriage to Loren E. Easley, who preceded her in death on November 10, 1987. Also preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, Wayne Thomas and Efton H. Thomas and four sisters, Glenn Williams, Loretta Thomas, Opal Pennel and Edna F. King.
Surviving are two sons, Edwin Easley and his wife Phyllis of Cassville, Missouri and Dr. James Easley and his wife Marilyn of Sealy, Texas; one daughter, Billie Joe Crotts and her husband Lynn of Nixa, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Dr. David Easley, Mary Lynn Williams, Jamie Fleeger, Shawna Flowers, Shelly Joe Mabe, Stacy Nosari, Dayna Craig, R.J. Crotts and Lynette Anthony; seventeen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Wilma grew up and spent most of her life in Barry County, spending seven years in Texas and eighteen months in Idaho. She attended school in Barry County and two years at Clay Hill High School then continued her education at Southwest Baptist College. For twenty years she was the Librarian at Cassville Schools and also worked in the book mobile before retiring. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cassville.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor James Weaver will conduct the services. Burial will be at Easley Cemetery in Eagle Rock.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
