Martha Frances Huff, age 88 of Joplin, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Freeman Hospital after an extended illness.
Martha was born September 1, 1927 to the late Lewis Coodey and Elnora Wright Coodey in Pawnee, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker supreme who did an outstanding job taking care of her family. Martha was proud of her time volunteering as a nurse aide during the war. She also volunteered for the Election Board for a short while. Martha was a past member of Calvary Baptist Church in Joplin.
On May 5, 1946, Martha married Floyd Huff in Columbus, Kansas. He survives of the home.
Additional survivors include a son, Rob Huff of Joplin; grandkids, Scott Huff, Sarah Huff and Jerry Johnson; great-grandkids, Brooklyn and Kinsley Huff, Carter Johnson and Nevaeh and Moriah Hess; sister, Loretta Smile of Kansas City, Kansas; sister in-law, Cherry Huff.
Other than her parents, Martha was preceded in death by a son, Don Huff in 2008 and two sisters, Margaret Dickens and Nadine Wolfe.
Graveside services are planned for Wednesday, Jan 6 at 10:00 a.m. at Stone Cemetery, east of Joplin. Rev. Richard Morris will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the National Health Care Recreation Fund in care of the mortuary.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary, Joplin, Missouri.
