Alma Christine Trent, 105, passed away January 14, 2016 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin,
Alma was born September 29, 1910 in Carthage, Missouri to John Kasper and Mary (Krattley) Kasper. Alma was a lifetime Carthage resident and worked at Belk-Simpson from 1958 until it closed, Alma was a lifelong member of the Faith Lutheran Church of Carthage. She was a member of the Morgan Heights pep club.
Alma was united in marriage to Cecil A. Trent December 2, 1939 in Carthage, MO he preceded her in death June 12, 1978. Alma is survived by one daughter Janet Lynn Burt and one son Robert Trent and wife Carolyn all of Carthage, three grandchildren Scott Trent, Ginger Hall, and Tyler Burt, and three great grandchildren.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday January 18, 2016, at Faith Lutheran Church of Carthage. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the services at Faith Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Park Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Faith Lutheran Church in care of Ulmer Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.ulmerfh.com.
