Earleen Fauvergue, 79, Carl Junction, MO, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at her residence after a lengthy illness. Earleen Leist was born November 12, 1936 in Garland, KS to the late Elmer E. Leist and Anna Mae Rhyne. She received her BSN Nursing Degree from Sisters of Mercy Fort Scott. She married George O. Fauvergue on November 2, 1958 in Fulton, KS; he preceded her in death in 2006. Earleen and her husband owned and operated Central-Non-Ferrous, Inc. and CNF Farms. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Carthage, MO.
Survivors include two daughters; Simone (husband Ron) Dowell, Carl Junction, MO, and Cindy (husband Gary) Graves, Davisburg, MI; two sons; Greg (wife Stephanie) Fauvergue, Carl Junction, MO, and John (wife Johnnie) Fauvergue, Independence, KS; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one sister, Joyce Leist Cranor, and one brother, Charles Elmer Leist.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Grace Episcopal Church, Carthage. Fr. Steve Wilson will officiate. Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Scott, KS. Memorial gifts are suggested to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in care of Knell Mortuary, 308 W. Chestnut, Carthage, MO 64836.
