Ben “Daryl” Palmer, age 84 of Joplin, MO formerly of Los Angeles, CA passed away Friday, January 15, 2016 at his home.
He was born on January 6, 1932 in Anderson, MO the son of Ben and Arvilla Devereau Palmer. Daryl graduated from Oswego High School, Parsons Jr. College and then earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from Tulsa University. He was a veteran serving his country during the Korean Conflict with the United States Army.
He married Lola Wiseman on June 22, 1955 in Oswego, KS. Daryl was employed with Hughes Aircraft as an Engineer until his retirement in 1987. He was a member of the Forest Park Baptist Church. He enjoyed his church work, photography, woodworking and oil painting.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Peggy Hostettler. Survivors include his wife Lola of the home, three sisters: Phyllis Carrell of Oswego, KS, Mona Rathmel of Dallas, TX, and Rena Russell of Oswego, KS.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the Mason-Woodard Mortuary with Pastor John Swadley officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. The family suggests contributions to Lifechoices in care of the mortuary.
