Erica Lynn Smith, 12, of Goodman, Missouri, departed this life suddenly on Tuesday, January 19, 2016, at her residence.

Erica entered this life on August 7, 2003, in Joplin, Missouri, daughter of Jennifer Lea (Booth) Lantz and Terry Michael Smith. She was a lifelong resident of Goodman, Missouri and was currently a 6th grader at Neosho Middle School. She enjoyed dancing, skateboarding and was a talented artist. She loved beating her brother at video games and listening to music. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by her mother, Jennifer Lantz of the home; her father, Terry Smith of Goodman, Missouri; two siblings, Shayla Renee Lantz and Devan Lee Laughlin; maternal grandmother, Carolyn Booth of Goodman, Missouri; paternal grandparents, Nellie Boyer of Goodman and Luther Smith of Lanagan, Missouri; several aunts, uncles and cousins; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Erica Lynn Smith were held. Friday, January 22, 2016, in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Pastor Mark Sumler officiating. Those honoring her life by serving as pallbearers were Devan Laughlin, Trenton Thomas, Dustin Thomas David Boothe, Jamie Boydston and DeWayne Boydston. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Missouri.
