Martha J. Sullivan, 69 passed away at Mercy Hospital in Joplin January 11, 2016.
Martha was born in Carthage, Missouri December 16, 1946 to Clifford and LaVern (Mills) Smith. Martha was a lifetime Carthage resident, she worked for Big Smith for over 25 years. She was active at the Can-Do Senior center and danced there every other Thursday and often danced many other nights of the week. Martha was a member of the Grand Avenue Church of God. Martha enjoyed spending time with her boyfriend Charlie Cross of Reeds, Missouri.
Martha is survived by one son Jimmy Sullivan, two daughters Tina Stanley and Shelly Cordova all of Carthage, ten grandchildren Tasha Stanley, Brittany Cole, Jeremy Rickman, Janie Carnes, Robert Potter, Glen Potter, Kori Sullivan, T.J. Sullivan, Nathan Cordova and Brooklyn Cordova, nine great grandchildren, one sister Marsha Canet of Carthage and three brothers Doug Smith of Turley, OK, Don Smith of Carthage and Brad Smith of Joplin, MO. Martha is preceded in death by her parents Clifford Smith and LaVern (Mills) Smith.
Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday January 18, 2016 at the Grand Avenue Church of God in Carthage, Missouri. Online condolences can be made at www.ulmerfh.com.
